I know this sounds odd, and it’s not exactly a killer line that gets me invited to the cool parties, but I’ve always liked buildings. It excites me to see a new building rise from the ground to provide a much needed home for a family, or to see a new community grow and flourish.
I’m not in this just to make money; to me a building is a delightful thing in itself and can have such an impact on the world around it. Pop in some people and it becomes something even more. We’re in the midst of a housing crisis in the UK right now, and to play even a small part in remedying that makes me very happy.
